Default 6500rpm cut off in a 92' civic with a 95' h22a

I fixed all the codes, now the only code it is throwing is the egr code! I reset the computer, but guess what it is still cutting out at 6500rpm. The only thing my car doesn't have is the resistor box, but it isn't throwing a fuel system code or an injector code. So would the resistor box cause it to cut out early? And it is a p13 mt ECU also. I'm stumped!? I've been haveing this issue for a month and a half.
i bought the resistor box, but I don't want to put it in if I don't have too. I'd rather just take it back to the honda dealer and get my money back. aaaarrrrrgggggg!

just the stock h22a injectors. Thats got to be it anyways, because thats the last thing I can think it could be.

well regardless of whetehr that is it you NEED the resistor box or else you risk burning your ecu. the ecu expects to see 10-12 ohms of resistance, right now it is seeing appr 2 ohms. when you run a amp designed to run at 4 ohms load with a 1 ohm load it tends to get hot and potentially burn up as well... its the same with your ecu and injectors.

I had an HMotor in my old EG with the p13, it used to cut out at 6200 also. I was told that it was a speed governer in the ECU. Maybe you could do a p28 rechipped ece, that would also get rid of your egr CEL. Also, put the resistor box on it would suck to burn up that p13.

no such thing as a speed governor on p13 ecu's. The redline on a p13 will work normal as long as everything is hooked up right.

jdm p13s have a speed governor at 180km/h
but it wont stop you from revving past the stock rev limit of 7400 rpm.

correct.

you sure you're letting the car warm up to operating temp before you're flooring it? I know you have to have the car warmed up for VTEC to operate.
