ZC + Bad water pump = take engine out?
I have a ZC which I found was dumping water somehere below the cambelt.
I was thinking of fixing it myself and was wandering whether it was worth the trouble of taking the engine out and fixing things that way?

I would, but that is mine. My motor doesn't have AC or PS so the only thing I loose is coolant when I remove it, since you are changing a water pump I would take it out. But try to break the crank pullley free BEFORE you remove the engine from the chassis or it becomes a S-U-P-E-R-P-I-T-A
you can if you want to spend a weekend working on it i would olny take the engine mout off take the timing belt covers off and the water pump is on the upper left closest to the fire wall is just three bolts to get it out by the way if you are planning on doing this i recomend that you replace the timing belt also while you got the covers off just my 2 cents

</TD></TR></TABLE> Weekend?! Took me four hours to remove an A6 with just hand tools by myself and to drop the motor from the chassis and this time taken counts time needed to dissassmble motor to figure out why it wouldn't turn over.
