Default JDM Foglights not working...HELP!

well, i just got my JDM front DC out of the bodyshop after my wreck last wednesday. i had the passenger headlight replaced with a spare i had, but now, all the lights work except the fogs. is there a schematic of some sort that shows how the foglights work on the JDM headlights?

when i replaced the drivers light a few weeks ago before the wreck, the fogs seemed to take a little longer to turn on when the car was off...but now, after replacing the passenger side, none of them work...anyone had the same problem? hopefully it's not the headlight itself...ANY help is greatly appreciated...

that link is helpful as it shows how to wire up a JDM Foglight switch. I would check all wiring and make sure that you have a proper relay too. It shouldn't "take a while" for them to come on. They should come on the moment you hit the switch. So...something is not right with the way it's wired up. You could have blown a fuse or melted a switch if it was not properly done.

I checked all the wiring coming from the headights and it looked fine. i checked the switch itself and that was fine too. I checked the fuse box and got confused...the layout on the fusebox cover under the dash is different from the actual fuse box setup (showed 3 rows when there were actually only 2). there was a red wire wrapped around one of the fuses so i assumed that's on part of the foglight setup...

but yeah...i'm thinking that whoever did this before me kinda just threw it all in there...i'm pretty sure i'm just going to rewire the whole thing to make sure it was done right. the way they were wired allowed them to be turned on all by themselves with no headlights and without the car running. i'd really like to keep it that way. thanks for that link, though. it will definitely come in handy.

its not hard at all to do. For me, I had an existing PIAA harness from foglights I had before the conversion....so that in itself worked out really nicely since I didn't have to go buy another relay, fuses...etc etc

are you using a relay? anyway, hook them up to the fog light fuse, buy an add-a-circuit fuse for the parking fuse part. I found that easier because I already and other stuff in the other parking light male pin...good luck

just went through the whole setup yesterday and found out it was a bad relay. replaced that and cleaned the wiring up a little bit and....PRESTO! they work!
