Default engine check light for O2 sensor

i got a 95 civic cx hb, with a b16A2. obd2, wire harness from a 97 gsr and gsr distributor. my engine check light came on for 02 sensor. we changed out the o2 sensor still the same. were thinking we have to change the wiring harness to 92-95 civic ex stick and the distributor, but then i heard other people saying that just get the converter from obd2 to obd1 and it will go away. does anyone run into this problem or any way to solve this matter. thankss

Well, I am pretty sure with an obd2 motor, you can plug up the 2nd o2 sensor and leave the sensor hanging, and you won't throw a code. If you put it in the o2 bung, covered in tin foil, you'll go without throwing a code for a month or so, but you'll have to rewrap it every month or two. I wouldn't suggest going that route.
