i have an 2000 si with greddy turbo need help!!!! urgent !!!
i have a 2000 si with 37000 miles on it with a greddy turbo it has everything my concern is that i notice some oil coming out of short airfilter which is connected to the turbo and also a little be of oil coming out of blow out valve... is it normal????? any sugestions ??????
Do you have a catch can, that was just a question. not really having anything to do with it but. I think your seals in your turbo is going bad. Think to your self have you been pushing boost alot. (do you have a turbo timer) Do you let it cool down after boosting when you get ready to shut off your car. Or maybe oilring on piston. Dont quite no but those are some keys.
take a pick of the engine bay for us. If there is presure in the valve cover that would create problems. Or the person before you knew nothing when it comes to haveing a turbo car and the turbo is fucked. Time for a new turbo.
I had a DSM with a turbo and it was normal for the BOV and the pipes to have some oil, since i had a hose from the head to the intake, since thats how they come stock. I think it's normal as long as its not a huge amount or nothing like that. Mine had alittle not very much, I'll say it just had them dirty from inside but not like little pudles or nothing like that. Hope this helps!!!

Thats your blow-by, thats normal. Thats why i asked if he had a catch-can. If he didnt or its is turbo for sure. Depending on what the turbo is you can have new seals put in. But its better to upgrade so you have a new one and you wont maximise its potential (like i did my spelling class..and took auto instead heheh).
What you can do is make sure its not you oil feed and oil return lines, if they leak under boost (which is when they leak)itll spray all over sometimes by intake and itll suck it in. Not really likely but maybe..so just wipe it off around those parts..turn on car let it warm up.while its runing check area... then hit boost a little..cool down and turn off. then check again. check the inside wall where ajusting rotation washer is (by feed line and oil)

i talked to my boy he knows about turbos, so he said that... the seal of the turbo are bad so thats y i have oil in the short air filter so he said to take the turbo out and send it to the greddy factory and get it refix or buy a new one. i think y may gonna buy a new greddy turbo since i already have the whole set the turbo wont cost me that much.
Turbos leak oil....but too much and you need to rebuild it.

I've had a little bit of oil get seep the seals when I still had the stock PCV system causing excessive crankcase pressures, that was not so bad, and I fixed it with a vented catchcan. When my turbo seals went bad, tons of oil just dumped out of the seal, it was a huge mess.
