aren't they both basically oem replacements? can't go wrong with either.

actually, ive been hearing a few bad reports on tokico blues. it seems they blow a lot more easily. apparently theyre made in their china factory as well. i dont really care to back them as a good alternative anymore.

illuminas are made in japan.

i havent heard much about kyb gr2.

either one tho, i wouldnt use anymore more than stock or eibach prokit with.

ive had blues on my car for almost 2 years now on progress springs. they're handle it fine & are still holding up well

I'd go with KYB since that's what was used on factory Lexus'. Or I would just save up and get some real struts.

If people say that a strut blows out easily, it's probably because they're not using them as intended ie lowering the car too much. The manufacturer will tell you this will blow out the strut prematurely. It will blow out ANY strut prematurely, except maybe Koni which is supposedly a unique type of strut.
