Electric water pump on a daily driver????

Who knows but I dont think anyone else is using electric water pumps so its ok
. I am curious if anyone else is doing this or what are some opininon on the subject. I am thinking about installing a meziere electric water pump and driving daily ( every day ) for a while, then like every couple of days daily after a few months. Good idea, bad idea? What do you suggest?

I've been running mine for awhile only drawback is the holes you drill in the thermostat makes warming up the car a chore takes about 10 minutes for mine in a hot climate (Hawaii). No problems here, but in the near future the only problem I see is that electric pumps don't last to long and replacement are'nt cheap.
when you run an electric water pump they recommend you drill a small hole so it'll have a little flow while the thermostat is closed if not it'll build up to much pressure stressing the pump and your hoses.
Ok, that makes perfect sense. Thermostats usually already have a small hole in them for the same purpose, so I will need to add another then? Is there a specific size recommended by each manufacturer or just a general size for the majority?
I'm going to do it, but will also use a Davies-Craig electronic pump speed controller to regulate the water pump. This should help get rid of the long time it takes to get the water up to operating temps as the pump will be running slow until the temp sensor starts to read higher temps.

Yes just drill one extra hole I can't remember what size it was though. The instructions should say what size. As for the long warm up time I was gonna run a switch to an ignition source, so I can turn on the pump only when the ignition is on and the car is warmed up, and if I forget to turn the pump off, it'll turn off when I shut the engine off.
