Default Heat problem

Ok guys/gals when i drive my car for awhile and park it i ear a gargling noise from my engine so i go and look. To my surprise i see my radiator overflow tank filling up with coolant and its steaming and boiling up. It didnt start until about 3 days ago and has been doing it everytime i drive. friend says it could be water pump? any ideas would be great. Thanks in Advance

maybe u t stat is bad, do you ever see it getting hot? make sure its not low when its cold.

That could be a lot of different things. First make sure your coolant is full when the engine is cold. Check to see if both of your radiator hoses are hot when the engine is at normal operating temperature and that will give you an idea if your thermostat is opening up and make sure the cooling fan is kicking on when the engine gets hot. If it keeps acting up check the compression just to make sure its not the head gasket. Who knows, it could be the water pump too...just don't hatch your engine by letting it overheat or you'll end up spending an *** load of cash to fix it...preventive maintenance.

i got an adjustable thermostat fan control from autozone, it was $20, lets you set when the fan goes on from 32-220F something like that, includes two wire install with a probe, this is the best replacement control i have found

i got a push style fan from partzfinder.com, it was like $35-40, 2.5'" thick with motor

this frees up space and is very good cooling

check your levels first and with the car at normal temperature see if the fans kick on, just stand there and open the hood when the needle goes to normal range

using a fan wont solve his problem it may cover it up.
