i have a turboed b16a swaped in my 86 CRX, i did all the work my self(finished in march). when you start the car it idle fine, then it throughs a code. #14 Idle air control valve. i have tested the valve it works, and i got one from a junk yard just in case. They both test fine. so with a good IAC start the car, throughs the code, and wont rev at all, just bounces, could it be the main relay, it clicks rapitly when i turn off the car. i just want my car back.

i just swapped a b18a into my crx si and it does the same thing i have no idea how to fix this problem either!

i have a b16 swapped 91 thats throwin a 14 as well but my idle and driveability are fine (chipped ECU)

however i have emissions testing soon and a check engine light is an automatic fail

 

trace your wires...you probably have a cut somewhere

 

I have the same thing except i know my iac is bad i have a first gen b16 anyone kno where i can get one or if a us spec b16 will work i also have a obd1 conversion if that matters

 

ok i know my iac works because i did the unthinkable, went to advanced auto parts and bought a new one =/ ... nothin... ran new wires nothin... my vafc2 even shows air correction.. and it moves... which means the iac is working and the wires up to the ecu know it... well what the hell... any on eelse here have a skunk 2 proseries intake manifold? maybe its that?

 

hey guys.. if you have run wires and checked for leaks and cannot fix the problem... swap the ecu out with a working one of the same obd generation...

it finally fixed my problem... i could cry im so happy lol
