Those are pretty low spring rates, especially on the front.
I'd guess most Civics here have at least ~350 up front and higher rates in the rear.
Will you be doing autocross or track racing?

Jamie! Didn't we talk about this? *Shakes head* I am gonna have to talk to you more. As Dave said you will need more spring than that.

Dave - remember - coilover rates are higher than standard so those rates, although a little soft, are not hateful for a dual-purpose car. I think it is safe to say that he IS NOT set up for drag racing.

Cobra - Who is finally ditching the pimpy cut stock spring slushbox suspension this week for some 500/600lb springs.

Guys... keep in mind what shocks he's talking about using. I wouldn't send him too high on the spring rates.... of course, 200 IS too low.

What length are those springs? If they are standard length (can't rembmer what GC default is) then you will need more rate in front for sure.

I've driven cars with anywhere from 350F/400R to 600F/900R. The first numbers are good for street use. Anything more requires better shocks and strong kidneys. 600/900 is unstreetable, but hella fun on the track.

Mike Poole - what are you running again? I like your setup.

They are those Ground Control specific "380#" springs (which are not completely linear in the front, 8" length, and 450# 7" length in the rear with the Comptech 22mm rear bar. Car is basically as high as I can get it to preserve some of the shock travel that the AGXs seem to lack. These rates are really probably just past the edge of what these shocks can handle, but they've been working well for me. If I were to do it over again, I'd either get 350/400 springs to use with these shocks, or use these springs with some Koni/Bilstein shocks. It's good for a street/track/autox all-in-one kinda car.

almost identical setup to mine.
92 si no AC/PS/cruis.. manual rack swap.. 10.3" up front
cept i run GAB revo coilovers with pillowballs.. and eibach 550F 450R

and a ITR front sway with GC race adjustable rear sway

your springs are gonna be too soft and it could be detrimental to your rear swaybar comming out of the subframe

I'd hardly call 550# front springs similar to 380s, though.

OK, now i'm a little scared to put the itr rear bar on , now i have the 14mm gs-r one should i hold off for stiffer springs in the rear ?

maybe 400f/500r?

will i be ok with the 350 rear and maybe 300 front and the ITR bar or not?

what is the limit to run on the agx's?

350F/400R is what I have on my heavy (relative to a Civic) Accord. Those rates would be agreeable with the AGXs and give you a nimble car, more willingness to rotate, and a very decent ride quality. Civic and Integra folks here still run considerably higher spring rates though. I dunno about the AGX's limit, 450 is probably pushing it.

I'm just saying that on my car (which is most definitely heavier than yours), that I feel like I'm pushing on the limit of the shocks with the springs I have. (what I mean to say is that I'm just over it.) I can't really give you a defined number on the max spring rate you can use on them.

If I were you, I'd maybe hold off on using the ITR bar, considering you don't have a front one. If you are concerned about the subframe tearout problem, I can say that stiffer rear springs will certainly help prevent that if you do decide to use the ITR rear bar. This tearout problem is the reason I purchased the one from Comptech.

I stole Mike P's rates and put those same springs and shocks on my 94 Si. IMHO, I could have gone a tad softer on the springs. 450x9F/380x8R.

I think the weight of the car gave it a bit of a stiffer feel, but maybe a bit too stiff for daily driving (unless you have something against your kidneys ). Flip side was that it wasn't unbearable (on DC streets) and it handled like a go cart without all the headroom. W/o a rear bar, it rotated nicely and I never experienced bumpstop washout in heavy braking or cornering.
