Default 91 SI big improvment?

Will dropping a 91 SI engine, tranny, and ecu in a stock dx hatch have a drastic increase in performance or mediocore? Im really trying to find out if paying the 1,250 for these parts is worth putting in a 91 dx hatch. thanx

thats a lot of money for what ur getting, whit that money you could buy a twin cam ZC. Search for engine swaps.

It is only approx 15hp which isn't a drastic increase like say a b16a 92hp->160hp . For 1250 I would go for a sohc zc or a dohc zc.

You could do almost as well with just the transmission and a mpfi conversion for alot less money.

He pmed me about the engine. He is a little confused. The engine he is getting for 1250 is the b16a from hmotors.

If he isn't very informed on this process, I suggest he do alot of searching and reading. Yes, it would be a big improvement.

Or better yet, an LS motor with a B16 tranny. I'm a hater, I know, but I'd rather have the faster motor.
