Default 97 CBR600 fuel pump question

It looks like the problem with my bike is a faulty fuel pump. I'm not sure yet, though. My question is--how do you check to see if the current fuel pump still works?

Thanks.

In the manual it describes how to do so. There is a relay which is mounted in the right rear of the bike near the cdi box. You are to disconnect the relay and jumper two of the three wires (can't remember which two colors of the top of my head.) This will give direct power from the battery to the fuel pump (No longer switched off the ignitiona and tach. signal)

Then you are to put the line leaving the fuel pump in a graduated cylinder. Run it for like 15 seconds. Record the amount of fuel that is in the graduated cylinder. Multiply it by 4. You now have the amount of fuel per minute your fuel pump is pumping.....

It states the range it should fall within but once again, I dont remember those specific details.

See if you can score the pdf version of the manual. If not, when I get home today from work I will double check the wire colors that you have to jumper.

Steven,

Thanks! Yeah, my bike didn't come with a manual. If you could verify that info for me, that'd be great. Thanks again.

Sorry, my f3 service manual is at my parents house with the f3. I looked at my apartment and I only had my 929 service manual.

I know there is an online pdf version somewhere. Maybe someone can chime in with a link.

Otherwise I will go up there this weekend and I will post up with the results.
