Default ECU Issues?

Here's the prob I am running my stock P28 in my EG coupe with B series motor (B16) i can only go to 7400, 7500 Rpms before fuel cut out! So basically im wondering if anyone knows where i can get a chipped P28 or if anyone is willing to trade Ecu's or where i can go get mine chipped around the chicago area? Thanks for any Help

you really really should not run your car on the wrong ecu. on top of that, revving to fuel cut is asking for major problems. Try pgmfi.org for someone who can chip ecu's, and if I were you, I wouldn't drive the car until you have it chipped.

Really i was told the p28 works fine with a b-series motor, but i can see why running it to fuel cut out is bad i only did it once or twice just to see what happens

the fuel maps are very similar between the d16 and b16, but the ignition maps are different.

short-term you will more than likely be ok (keep revs low), but you'll find the car will drive better (and faster) with the right ignition maps.

This happened with my buddy in his DA9, he was first using a P28 and it was running okay, he then got his hands on a P30 and the car ran SOO much better. Bottom line, run the correct ECU with your motor.
