do the basic i/h/e first. then suspension.

you can get a CAI for like $200
header for like $400
exhaust $400-$500

suspension can get pricey depending on what you want to do. maybe go for just shocks and springs...

do some research man, there's tons of stuff out there.

there are a lot of deals on honda-tech going on right now. with around $1500US, i say go with some tein flex http://www.tein.com/flexdamp.html

however, if you want to lower the car, have proper alignment and camber, then you might want to search for cheaper coilovers such as the d2 coilovers which are going for about $800-1000US if you shop around. omnipower coilovers may fall into that range as well.

good luck!

Then I/H/E is going to be a waste of time. Intake will give you some sound and so will Exhaust.

I suggest you dropping on Tein SS or Tanabe adj coilovers. Can be bought used for about 6-800 or around 1000 new. You will need a rear camber kit, and you should get some tints and maybe a new cd player. That's about 1500 USD right there. I wouldn't recommend go mods on a base auto or manual for that matter unless it's Force Induction.

Performance is always a must. BUT without a nice suspension, your car will won't be able to handle the nice power adders. So, I suggest you get a decent suspension first. You mentioned having about $1500 US so that means, you should get the Mugen Sports Suspension Kit. The drop is very minimal and most people prefer to have it a little lower. But I think it's beautful drop. About 1.5" all around. Look it up. You can obtain this suspension at http://www.kingmotorsports.com for $1050.00

If you don't want to work on suspension. Then you should go with what somebody mentioned earlier. I/H/E... or a hondata #4 ecu.

I recommend Injen Cold Air Intake.

Here is what you should get

Springs- Eibach Sportlines $230 (install yourself pretty easy)
Injen CAI with washer bottle- $228 shipped ClubRSX edition (www.ClubRSX.com)
DC sports Raceheader - Stainless steel ($450shipped) Ceramic ($360shipped)
ESMM (Energy suspension Motor Mounts) Must have with any RaceHeader ($28Shipped)
Any Exhaust 400-600

Roughly $1200

Save an extra 300 and get Hondata #4 Reflash, or save 700 and get Hondata Kro. You will be pushing 200WHP+
