Default What other bolt ons?

Ok, so my friend just got his magnum hemi and it took down the gsr , but not by much. I expected to lose though. Off the line(stand still) i am 4 or 5 cars behind when i hit 4th, He pulls on me when i am in the mid of 2nd..on the highway from 2nd holding it at 5000rpm we are neck to neck until mid of 3rd for me, after that the v8 hemi just starts pulling, but i am not far behind...THat thing is a v8 5.7 liter HEMI....340hp 390tq, It feels nice....I dont feel bad, its a powerful v8 and my little 1.8vtec is keeping up. just curious, i have i/h/e only...what can i bolt on to get some more power? OK i dont plan to boost yet, but i will in the future. Just for now, what you guys think is good to give me more power?

Sorry if you think it is a kill story, but i cant post there since i am a trial user.

i'd do some cams...but it's up to you to decide what you want to buy...

I say Cams(~Stage 2) / Headwork(P&P/Valves/Seals/Guides/Springs/Retainers/fresh-LMA's) / FPR /... then if its tuned to its potential(hondata...etc.) you will be able to keep up or beat your buddy.

Then maybe get a differnet tranny or some gears/LSD to give you the edge...

If you want to dump even more bucks then rebuild your block (blah...blah...blah...)

But you said bolt ons eh?

The only chance you would have is swap with a Toda/SMSP/HYTECH header, maybe a new I.Manifold, get some tuning, do some weight reduction... that should get you close.

(btw.. all this is a waste if you are going to go turbo... any cams or whatever isnt gonna be the best for n/a now and FI later...)
