Shifter Question
I am in the process of transplanting a b16 in my '88 civic hatch. i have a question about what type of short shifter to buy. i want a shifter with the dual bend like the newer integras have. but half the people i've asked say that they will fit, and half say they won't and that i have to get a shifter identical to my stock one w/ the one bend. i really like how the dual bend shifter positions the shift **** straight up instead of at an angle. does anyone know if one will fit on my civic? or does anyone have one in theirs? thanks!

the one on the left is the single bend and the one on the right is the dual bend. the one on the left is modeled after the stock civic shifters like on my model civic, and the one on the right is modeled after the newer integras and i think the newer civics. not sure. but i want to know if the dual bend shifter will fit on my civic, since my civic is supposed to use a single bend shifter.

ive used a dual bend shifter in my crx w/b16. if you plan on using a stock shifter like the 94+ integs then you will have to stretch the shifter brackets a little to make it fit. what i did was buy a tenzo r short shifter for 45 bucks the dual bend one these are slim enough to bolt up to your shift linkage however they are kinda long so it rubs against my exhaust a little
