You REALLY need to clear up what you're trying to say.

What kind of car?
What type of computer?
Any modifications to the computer?
What year?

Blah blah blah...we need to know this.

Please, try to use proper English and punctuation. Don't need the Queens people sounding and looking illiterate.

You need to use the correct ECU for your engine, I wannt say it's a P30 ECU.

If its a JDM comp you'll need to switch it out for a USDM one.

If you changed the OBD setup you are fucked....period.

I'm thinking your going to want to rock the stock si ecu and harness in a 96 swap, which would be a p2t ecu and can be picked up for about 50 bucks shipped

I'd read up on your motor, car, and the wiring done with your swap. Then, ask a friend who is knowledgeable to point you out everything under your hood, etc.

Then, rephrase your question if you can't figure it out through searching. I'm having a tough time with your question.

What is your ECU code? Where did it come from? (You need to be sure about this)

Your motor is a B16a2?

Who did the swap, and why did they wire it up with the stock ECU? I am sure thats not working, unless its ghetto.

Well, it sounds like you just have the wrong ECU. They switch out pretty easily. Take you 2 minutes. But, I can't be sure.

What are you trying to link? Someone give me some info on what hes talking about, is it something they do when they inspect your car?

He's talking about hooking a scanner up to teh diagnostic link. Sometimes it just flat out DOES NOT work with foreign cars depending on the scanner being used. Also if you swap the OBD setup of the car then it will not communicate.

If you have an OBD2.2 in an OBD 2.1 car it is not going to talk to the scanner unless you run an OBD2.1 computer. That will throw you codes unless you use sensor simulators. Bottom line IMHO is that you bought a car without doign yoru homework first.

Sounds like he is running OBD0 or OBDI ecu. Check the stamp on the head of the car and find out what year the motor is.

Just to clarify things for those that dont know... what xEnderx said is correct. In NY they recently started being really strict will all obd2 cars. Meaning this 96+ Civic. If the car is OBD2a the ECU must be OBD2a. However, you cannot use conversion harnesses or whatever because it will not work. I dont know if maybe using a 96+ OBD2a GSR ECU will help.
