Default When I check for codes, my SRS flashes?

Hey guys, I've done several searches on this and I can't seem to get an answer.

When I goto check for codes on my P28 ECU (I complete the circuit by using a paper clip). When I turn my key to accessory all my car does is flashes my SRS light. I've tried 2 different P28 ECUs and the same thing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

I've only got this to work once, I did it the way I always did. Would resetting my ECU help by pulling the fuse under the hood?

- i think the srs might be flashing due to a wiring issue on the p28 i ran on on my b20vtec before it got stolen when i would run for codes- all my lights would flash once - as it was priming turning the key

My Hondata S100 P28 does the same thing when checking the codes. I thought it was normal. The check engine light still flashes when a code is present.

So does this mean that I don't have any codes? I'm going to try resetting my ECU, maybe I'll get something different.

I believe so. I thought the flashing srs light means you are in the diagnostics mode. If the CEL isn't flashing you don't have any codes.

ive been trying to figure out why the SRS light flashes hopefully i can figure it out soon.

But if ur CEL just stays on and does not flash then you have no codes presant in the system.

So, when the SRS light flashes it doesn't mean that your code free? Damn, I need to figure this out.

Same thing with my '94 VX. Just different ECU. SRS flashing while CEL flashes the code.

My car did something very similar to yours, so after me and some friends couldn't figure it out, I took it to Honda. I had an SRS issue, and not a CEL issue at all. What happen was that I took my dash out, to install white gauges and I need to reset the SRS(that I didn't do at the time). They said that they will reset the SRS, but it will cost an additional $95, and they have already charged me $74 just to tell me it wasn't a CEL issue and that it was a SRS issue. So I reset it myself, and it only took about 5 mins.
