I wouldn't describe 300 as being a "monster"...but anyways, just go with a basic turbo set-up...

-Turbo (Garrett, Precision, etc.)
-Injectors (440CC)
-Fuel Pump (Walbro 255)
-Clutch (ACT 2600 is my personal favorite)
-Oil feed and return lines
-Front Mount Intercooler and piping
-Boost Gauge, Boost Controller, Turbo-timer
-2.5"-3" exhaust
-Trusty mechanic
-Tune

I might be forgetting something, but that's the basic stuff you need. I wouldn't suggest running high boost on the stock motor...300WHP shouldn't be hard to make...

^^That's a good start (ditch the turbo timer). I would recommend going to the Forced Induction forum and checking out the FAQ at the top of the forum. It is full of great insight for first-timers like yourself.
