89 CRX Si, wierd code being thrown
17 short blinks, not 1 long 7 short, 17 consecutive short blinks, i have tested a couple different ECU's on it and the same thing no matter what ECU i use. the CEL comes on after you drive it for a bit......anyone? anyone?

17 is the VSS speed sensor.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i am lookin right at the ECU man and i am telling you its 17 short blinks, one solid long blink and 7 short would be the VSS, this is 17 short, hell i will try to take a vid of it if i can and show you guys, the speedo works fine, never fails. That was the first thing i checked. its a stock crx Si ECU, both ECU's i have tested are CRX Si ECU's with no mods done to them and they both throw the same code......anyone?

I kinda thought that was what you ment, but riddle me this, why does the speedo work fine and never error out and i still get that code, the speedo in ED's is cable not electronic

The cable goes to the speedo. The speedo then sends a voltage signal to the ecu.
If your speedo is working while your driving and you get a CEL that would say your ecu is not getting the signal from the speedo. Meaning you have a short in the wire from the speedo tp the ecu. Make sense?

makes sense to me........just to clear something up, the 88-89 ecu doesnt have long blinks and the 90+ do?
