A/C problem
I just changed the compressor on my '93 Civic EX, i recharged the system and now the compressor keeps short cycling...the clutch engages and then immediately disengages...i haven't figured out why this is happening...the a/c system does NOT get cold at all...it's almost as if once the compressor hits a certain amount of pressure in the lines it cuts off the compressor...and it squeels really loud when the clutch engages, but it has a new belt and the tension is perfect...help me out guys...should i just return it and try a different compressor?
I had a similar problem on my hatch. The problem was a bad compressor clutch. Did you JUST change the compressor (i.e. are you using the old clutch set)? Or did you get an entirely new assembly?
entirely new assembly...i recharged it using the machine we have here @ the dealership...i bought the compressor from advanced auto...haha i think it has a bad pressure switch...gonna get one from a bap geon
