Default Quick question..... new to the crx and ef civic.

I'm looking into buying a 90 crx si from this guy. I was wondering how much do you guys think the car is worth. As i said it's a 90 si stock engine with some custom exhaust looks like just a muffler and tip ( didn't really look to hard), the white paint is decent for the car to be fifteen years old, interior is extremely dirty, tears in the fromt driver seat, ac works, climate control section in dash is broken, windshield has some cracks on it, he has some decent no name wheels on it the brakes calipers are painted yellow. He's got some super gay rice boy alltezzas. The biggest thing wrong with it is that it was in an accident. He rear ended a truck and the hood is screwed up. I think the frame was bent during but he got it straighted out. And the bumper needs to be realigned. It's got a new radiator, and a new sports clutch from what he says ( he never said what brand). 170,000 miles. I offered him 2000 but my step-dad said i need to go lower. I'm looking for some wheels to get back and forth to school just something reliable even if it doesn't look good all the performance stuff will be started by like september if i decide to buy it. So what do you guys think? Thanks for any help.

2000 is way way too much for that car. Try 1000 or lower. To me it sounds like it is a pos that needs alot of work.

my dad was telling me it was probably worth around 1500. It runs fine and everything. The car will pretty much get torn apart after a few months cuz i can't keep anything stock with any car.

ahh $2000 seems to high...Since He got in a accident it probably has a salvage titile since there was frame damage. From what your telling me..i'de only give this guy less than $500. Just add up how much it would cost to repair everything and add it to what your willing to pay then you'll realize how much time ,money, and effort you would have to put into that mess.

If i were you, I wouldn't do it. It just seems like a mess...

You can find better deals on here.

is it possible for him to get into the accident and the frame not to be damaged? (I doubt it cuz i did the same thing with my ej1). He said the frame wasn't damaged at all but the radiator was cracked and replaced.

500 tops. its a project and projects always cost lots mor ethan you would expect. you can get a eg for 2k, or a crx thats in a lot better shape. i would say a mint condition crx is worth about 1500. more if its got motor swap etc.
