Default Emissions testing questions

The emissions testing station I went to told me that the computer hadn't run through all the "checks" yet and I needed to go drive 100 miles.

How can I tell if the ECU is ready to be tested? I'm trying to get my car to pass before my p453 code shows up again.

The only way to know is if you plug a special OBD2 scanner in it. They will check the readiness of your ECU.

Just drive it thru a few more driving cycles and take it back.

I need a way to time it so that it is before the code shows up, but after it is ready for testing. (If this is even possible)

I really don't want to replace my entire gas tank to install a fuel tank pressure sensor. (My year Civic didn't come with one)
