This may be a stupid question.. But how is the exhaust going to work? Obviously the exhaust manifold is pointed towards the front of the car, are you going to get it bent around and out through the rear?

Yeah, I'm curious about that as well. Hopefully he'll post up and answer all of our questions. This is going to be a great project.

Ground control Coilovers on all four corners. 12kg/mm rear, and 8kg/mm at the front
Thanks for your comments! The build is going well, I just wish there were more hours in a day!

If you noticed, he did not flip the engine around 180 degrees when he put it in the rear. It was just moved back. The exhaust will work the same except it will be shorter obviously.

This has been done before but not the way you did it. You basically took the front end of the civic and put it in the back to mount the motor, very clever.
The guy that did this before on this site made custom everything. I bet his kicking himself now for not thinking of this, lol. Still very nice both of you. Why is it always H22's though? ehh

That's what I was thinking. Thanks for clearing that up.

for ingenuity.

Exhaust is going to be a bit tricky, I have over foot of room to work with between the engine and the frame. More than likely it will be side exit exhaust.
Thanks for the questions!

That's what I was thinking because to me it seems there would be a clearance issue with the frame.

Thanks for the compliments!
Cody's (Tinker219) Del Sol is now owned by Dan (rawkus), and it was very much a prototype. I remember when researching rear engine swaps coming across his project and wondering why he didnt use the entire front clip; but with most projects I've found out that we use what he have and what we know. Tubing turned out great for him, and I bet it is quite a bit stronger than unibody.
Why H22s? Personal preference for me. I've owned preludes since I was 15 and was impressed with the H series motors.
