Default Which AC belt do I need for a B18C1 powered '92 Civic CX?

Spent the last hour or so searching online for the answer, but came up empty...

Someone's gotta know the answer to this..

Trying to find out which AC belt I need to use for my B18C1 powered '92 Civic CX. Using the stock Civic AC system with a P54 bracket. The belt I have is too small, and I can't remember if it was the old Civic belt or if it was the old GSR belt that I had left over.

A friend of mine told me to use an AC belt for the Del Sol DOHC VTEC model, but he can't remember where he heard that from.. someone help me out, thanks....

I'm not 100%, but i think it is the Del Sol VTEC (with the B16A - make sure you emphasize this when you call Honda) for the A/C belt since they used the B series A/c bracket with D-Series compressor.

you can just wrap a thick string or rope ( that won't stretch ) around the pullies and then measure the length. This should get you with in half an inch. I did this for a friend and It worked. Make sure the tensioner is not at max. or min. but some where in the middle before taking measurement. Any way you can do this to check before purchasing.

You know what?
It's definately the Del Sol VTEC, because I ordered the A/C belt for my wife's old B16A2-powered 92 Si a while back and it was the Del Sol VTEC, 1994 model.

Well, I tried the AC belt for a B16A3, and it was still too short.

So I took some twine and measured for the length that I needed and went to Autozone and got a 83.1 cm belt, which seems to do the trick..

Don't know why the B16A3 belt wouldn't work for me... maybe different size in crank pulleys?? Thanks to all for trying to help though...

What type of crank pulley are you running?

My wife had a B16A2, so *perhaps* there is s slight difference in the crank pulley diameters between the B16A2 and B18C1.

Look on the belt you have - it should have a 4PKxxx number, with the xxx being the length of the belt. I'd estimate how much longer you need the belt, and then go to Napa and get a Gates equivalent. Gates makes Honda's 98-up Accord drivebelts anyways, so it's not like they suck.

I'm using the stock crank pulley. The AC belt I'm using is a 4PK0830.
