worlds fastest D15
ok... i have a 1992 honda civic DX HB.....
i am going to do somthing that is bold, misunderstood, riddiculed, and crazy... but thats just what i am all about....
my goal is to take a d15 and turn it into a real smallblock eater.... using factory motor....
i have found a turbo manifold and turbo for it even cam gears and stuff like that... but i need a little help i need to run an oil supply lines and return lines for my T3 ( i know it is a small turbo but i dont think a D15 can hold much boost ya know...7-9 psi oughta be ok)

Well, I don't think you'll get the world's fastest D series with that setup. If you're planning on boosting 7-9 I would suggest getting some different internals and also tuning it.

You're boosting a single cam underpowered engine. You won't have the fastest. Hell... theres some guy on D-Series.org running 10's I think. You'd have much more of a funner time boosting a B or K than you would a D.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yes, to get a D series the way you want it you're going to have to build it with high end rods/pistons and have a very good turbo setup, along with fuel manegment amoung other things as well. If you want to pull it off, and do it correctly. You can expect to pay quite a bit of money for this.

Your a liar, don't contribute lies to a post that has enough trouble on its own, Thanks.
Here is what you might have said, if you hadn't made the comment up, and weren't a liar (still not necessarily true, but more likely than your crap).

As for the original poster, you seem to have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to a turbo setup, hondas, or anything that might include either of those two words.. Read up on here if you want to modify your car, but you will by no means be the fastest d15 honda in the world. You probably won't even be the fastest in your state.

Reguardless, I think this kid needs to read up on turbos and cars in general.

give em a break, you need to sleeve your block get forged everything port and polish valve train package nice cam, nice turbo set up with a big intercooler to catch some air, slicks with some good axles cuz u dont want to snap them and a nice dyno tune and im sure you will be hangin with the big boys that set up will cost you between 5 to 8k good luck o and remember your gonna need some fuel, so get some hondata

Exactly, that sounds like the better idea to me.

if your going to boost a d series swap that b7 out with a z6 or y8
youll be alot more satisfied.
but your goal will never be accomplished with a d15b7, and even with the z6 or y8 your not going to impress many people...
well maybe this guy..

For an oil feed you're going to want to tap into your oil sensor spot. For the return you buy an oil line, connect it to the turbo, and tap it into your oil pan.
Becareful pushing too much boost on a stock motor. I just bought a 2nd motor to build for boost, block, head, and tranny only cost me 350. Motor is in better condition than the one in my car now. (Thanks to turbotime)
To build a motor you're looking about about 500 for pistions, 400 for rods, and another 100 or so for ARP studs, so 900 for built internals.
I don't know how much sleeving a block is, but I've got to find out because I've heard the D series sleeves are weaksauce (can someone clarify this for me?)
Don't forget your engine management/tuning tools. These things cost money, I'm nearly 1000 in the hole and still not turbo'd. (Making sure I have everything and everything is going to go in right so I won't have as much downtime)

I'm sitting here trying to figure out how your parents could have sex. I mean if they produced a kid like you, ****, they gotta be stupid. Were you adopted?

True, if you're going to boost ANY D series motor it would want to be either the z6, y8 or JDM d15b even then you're not going to get the results you want.

wow. this isn't the typical honda-tech set of replies or anything. sheesh guys...
Anyhow, D15s can be rather quick given the right setup - as with any motor. Bisi's all-motor civic ran on a D series for a very long time, and I believe he even dipped into the 9s (if not, def. in the 10s) in his car before he swapped for the F series that he's running now.....without forced induction.
You -could- make the 'worlds fastest' D15, however, you're looking at a very built motor that's going to be expensive. Just as any other involved engine build is really going to be.
However, I'm not even sure what the question/comment was in the original post...other than a mention of potential plans.
Good luck with whatever happens,
Nathan
