The engagement point can be adjusted on a hydraulic clutch. There is a nut on the back of the clutch pedal, that's on the rod to the clutch cylinder. loosen the nut and adjust the rod, this will adjust the engagement point.

If you have cable there is an adjuster on the front of the trans where the cable attaches..

if it's only grinding in 2nd gear and no others, and does not "free-rev" like a slipping clutch, it is very possible your sincrows are going out in your 2nd gear. i hope thats not your case because a new tranny would be on the way unless you go through with the hassle of replacing the sincrows.

try amsoil synchro mesh tranny fluid...heard it works well. Like del said, it's quite possible it's your synchro in 2nd gear.

When we did the swap we had to make custom shift linkages to get her running and this caused us to have mystery shift in 3rd and 4th. Fixed this pretty quick but not quick enough, now 3rd grinds sometimes. Just if you hear it grinding don't try to force it. Bring the stick back and try again. Otherwise don't even give it a chance to grind and slam that bitch in there..
