Bad CV joints or wheel bearings?
I have a 93 LS, and for awhile it has made a knocking noise in the right front when I turn left. Now it has started making noise when turning in both directions, and has gotten alot louder. The boots on the cv joints seem fine and aren't leaking at all, and there isn't any play in the wheel bearings when I yank the wheels back and forth. Is there any other trouble shooting I can do to pinpoint this problem? It's getting boosted in 2 weeks so I'd like to have it solved before that to prevent extra headaches.
If it's the CV joints, go into an empty parking lot and throw it in reverse and drive with the door open and listen for a *click* noise, that will indicate if your CV joints are going.
Thanks alot guys. I was almos positive that it was the cv joints, but I recently had somebody trying to convince me that it was a wheel bearing. I'll do some more troubleshooting and see what I come up with.

Yeah, like what I suggested that is a really good way to find out if it's the CV joints.
