removing the front bumper and replacing the windshield
ive had my car for about a year, and ive decided to start learning more about cars. id like to make some easy maintanance changes in my car, and one is replacing the horn. ive tried taking off the front bumper, but according to my haynes manual, ive got all of the screws out, but the bumber isnt coming off. are there any kind of hidden screws? i dont want to just yank it off and screw something up. ive been very interested in trying to learn about my car, but it's hard to do on my own, so i figure ill ask a forum.
also, there's a crack in the windshield, and i was just wondering if there was an approximate cost of getting it fixed/getting another windshield to put in. thanks a lot. ill be asking a lot of questions in the future

for the bumper to come off u need to take the screws off the top as well and the ones in the wheel wells. i ahd my front window replaced for 120 installed
ive taken off the screws in the wheel wells, i took off the 3 underneath, and i may have taken off the top ones but where are they located? and 120 definitely isnt bad, especially to get it, and have it installed
I'm guessing the screws you've gotten to are the ones in the wheel wells... There are also 4 bolts (2 per side) behind the bumper lights. Uncrew the bumper lights and disconnect their harnesses to access.
Then there are also some bolts on the bottom that attach the bumper skin to the belly splash panels.
Once you get all that off the bumper skin and bumper should come off as an assembly; and you can get access to the horns.
Never have done the windshield, can't help you there.
If you want to work more on this car, I'd strongly suggest getting a Helm version rather than the Haynes. They're usually more detailed than any other service manual (Haynes, Chilton, etc.)

Added info:
The way I was mentioning takes the bumper skin and bumper beam off as a unit.
The way 91civic EX mentioned, will get just the bumper skin off, which is all you need. Those screws in the top can be seen if you open the hood. There should be 3 black ones that sandwich the topmost part of the bumper skin between part of the bumper beam.

I got my windshield installed by a local company for $100 + tax. As far as the bumper check here for some guidance http://fourthgenhatch.com/.

it seems everyone has answered ur questions, so hope u dont mind i jumo in, lol. any one notice the horns sound different from different year crxs? only one one my horns (theres two) worked, and sounded low and fugly. so i found out which one was bad, replaced it with the same one of my parts car. sounded off. so i replaced it with the other one from the parts car, still sounded off. so finally i replaced both from the parts car and sounds fine. sorry for lengthy boring insignifigant post but just something i noticed

that fourthgenhatch.com site is amazing. are there more that are similar to it (still for ef's)? i like all the tips for it because it's all stuff that's easy enough to do, such as cleaning the engine and installing a headlight buzzer.
Yep, I learned alot from that site too. Another one you can check out is http://www.ef-honda.com/ben/. This has alot of info as far as the interchangable parts from other Hondas. Have fun with your ride.
