well mate I've got a GSR tranny on my LS motor and 5th gear 70 mph is at least 4k. I had an LS tranny a while ago but I don't remember what it's 5th gear rpm was at. Smells like an LS tranny though. You can tell cuz those gears are mad long compared to a b16 or GSR tranny.

there's no vin???? you can check by that. or do the 80 mph test

go into 5th gear on the free way and stay about 80 mph you should see where you are at on the power band. and usually that will tell what final drive that's inside.

i.e. a b16 trans w/ 4.4 fd means when your in 5th gear at 80 rpm should be around 4,400 rpms.

um.. the vin is Y80 but it kind of looks like the sticker was just stuck on there/maybe not. but yea its prolly a ls if the y80 is true. or maybe the kid that i bought it from just kept the ls final drive or put an ls final drive in a gsr so it wouldnt be bad on the freeway? lol dunno but prolly an ls
