Just a maintenence indicator. There is a button under your dash to reset it... It is harmless.

There is a square button under the steering wheel. Mine is white when you turn the ignition to the on position push and hold the button for 3 seconds. (I think it is 3 seconds) Once you find the button its easy!

More or less above your right shin when your sitting in the car, in the area where all your wiring is. It will be a small box with a square button mounted somewhere on the plastic, you can't miss it. Press and hold for about 5-10 secs while key is turned to on position.

its right above where you right knee should be under the dash...just put the car in the on position and press it until it goes off...it flashes 8-9 times as a warning..eventually it will stay on completely until its reset. just make sure your regular maintence is done and dont worry about taking it to acura.

I have the exact same problem with my 96 GS-R. The light would flash at least 5 times before but now it is on all of the time. The car runs perfectly fine, except for a heat sheild rattle on the cat or manifold. I just recently got a oil change and tune up done on it and the light is still on. I am assuming that if i reset it and it comes back on then that must mean soemthing is not feeling too good.

It doesnt really have a purpose.. It just goes off every so many miles (i think) to let you know its around time to do an oil change, or other maintanance.

Mine went off before, and yeah, i reset it, and it was fine.
and It doesnt seem like BET reset his.. For it to go away, you have to reset it no matter if you do the oil change or not, Its going to stay on until you manually reset it.

Yup, that light is programmed to come on every 7,500 miles, thats when your "supposed" to do your service. Definetly dont have to follow that, but for some people the engine bay would never be looked at if it wasn't for that light so I guess it works to some extent. Any dealer should be able to show you how to reset it at no charge to you incase you cant figure it out.

it comes on at like 7500, 15000, 30000, 50000, 75000, 10000 or something like that....has nothing to do with if theres a problem or something really needs to be done.

reseting the ecu isnt going to make that light go away...needs to be turned off though that reset button under the dash.
