Why is my Cross Member SO low? Is yours like mine?
Im doing a swap soon i pulled the motor. I noticed that my cross member has alot bigger gap than my friends 94 Civic. Is this normal?

This is a pic of what i percieve as a normal Cross member.

O yea if katman isnt cool wiht me using this pic just lemme know and i'll take it down.

The car engine bay has been repaint right. Look like they took off everything and then but it back together.

Man this **** has me worried. Take measurements from the top of your firewall to the cross memeber. Mine is 18 1/2 inches while my buddies was 17 15/16s. Whats yours? Man i hope my **** isnt going to hang low as ****.
I doubt it, only interchangable subframe are integras and if it came from an integra it would have that tie bar. And as i remember i dont think EG steering racks fit dc subframes without modification. Also the crossmember looks to be real old.
Ok, I measured mine to be exactly 18inches from top of firewall to top of crossmember. Give or take about .25'' for error cause I had to kink the tape measurer a bit. And I looked at my subframe too, and I have a gap just like you. I think cause, you have a light colored firewall, it reall extenuates the gap.
I believe the ones with a front sway bar (Si and EX only) are different from the non sway bar (Dx, Cx, Vx).
The only other difference I can think of is power steering vs non power steering. Again, Ex and Si for sure.
