Default Buddy club Spec 3+ valve lash

Ok I just installed a set of buddy club 3+ cams with buddy club cam gears and omni power springs and retainers. I am having some noise from the valve train. I need to know whats the correct valve lash. I adjusted them to .008intake and .009exhaust. Is this correct for this set up or should I have done the .007in .008ex.? Thanks

No offense, but couldn't you just call BuddyClub? Or an authorized dealer?

The lMA's are good. The motor has only 66k on it. Nothing was abnormaly worn. I have tried to contact a dealer but everyone gives me different specs. I think im going to try the stock specs. I read today in older posts thats some people are running the stock specs...

Are you experiencing a loss of power or bogging?

Just redid the valve adjustment. I set the intake to .007 and the exhaust to .008
No more ticking and feels better too, but now needs to get tuned.

I just installed these same cams in my B16a2 head. I set the Valve's at .008 intake and .009 exhaust. Had no problems.

nope, must be a type-o .008 and .009 will cause loud valve slap at idle

I just installed my III+ cams and are pretty noisy. I set the lash at .008 and .009 per Buddyclub USA's instructions. Can anyone verify that this is a typo? There aren't even cams listed on the Buddyclub.jp website.

Loud valves arent as bad as people think, its better to have them too loud then too quiet.

You cant hear a tight valve. And tight valves are way worse than loose valves.

Incorrect. Tight valves will lead to burnt valves as well as poor performance. Poor performance isn't as much of a deal as burnt valves, for sure. Loose valves however will result in rapid increase of wear on valvetrain components. As you can see, too tight and too loose both have rather harsh effects on engine life.

The sheet that came with my BC3+ says .008 and .009... I'm probably going to adjust them to the loose side of .007 and .008 anyway, I've heard a lot of people having more luck with that.

You would think so, huh? Seems like some people using .008 and .009 have idle troubles, bogging, etc. It's just a valve adjustment, and takes all of 15 minutes to change if it's not working how it should. Besides, I need that extra .001" of lift!

Read what i said.

I said tight valves are quiet, its better to have valves a little looser and louder than a little too tight. the longer the ex valve can contact the head the better chance it has of cooling down by dispersing the heat back in to the head. The amount of wear that .001 greater lash will put on valve train is so insignfigant i would much rather have my valve lash set looser than tighter than to have risk of burning valve.

I just got off the phone with Buddyclub USA which said .008 and .009.
BUT... he said ".007 and .008 also work, sometimes you have to play with them to get the best results" I'll stick with the looser settings.
