Default EP3 have power folding Mirrors?

I was wondering if this was an option on the JDM cars and if so how hard is it to get a set of power folding mirrors? This would be a big bonus if I was to buy a Si (I want/need power folders). Did the previous coupe have these avalible?

Thanks.

Yes, they do have the power folding in Japan, however they are useless because you can not see out of the because they are RHD which makes the angle too steep. Better would be to get yourself a set of the Euro LHD blinking ones which actually serve a purpose. 1) you can see out of them better because they are convex AND have the right angle 2) they have blinkers and heated mirrors.

What purpose does folding have besides being less likely to get dinged in the mirror? I don't know about you, but I always get hit in the door anyways.

Exactly, I already new the "mirror" would be wrong, hence why your USDM one says "objects maybe closer" on the right side but no the left, different mirrors.

First off I have a tinny garage (I live in a town house thing). My Golf has about 1 inch tops either side to pull in. (ding my left mirror, twice)

Second morons at campus park to freaken close (Idiot to off my left mirror...once!)

Lastly at the mall, some fat tard, while I'm sitting in my car... is carring stuff and trys to squeez between my car and his van... knocks my mirror shut (they fold, not electricly) then sets his crap on my car while getting his stupid kids in his van...

All the while I'm sitting in my car going "WTF"....

So I would need mirrors, wires, and switch..anything else, is it a easy install (like conector ports exicst in the car) or is it a whole re-wire job and custom fitting?

Thanks.

It is a hack job, it's not easy unless you have some good electrical knowledge.

I have a DIY for the Euro LHD mirrors.

I have them on my car, and I am getting another set in the cosmic grey (euro only color) shortly.

that is what I did. I got ITR folding mirrors painted then I bought new side mirrors and put those in. I actually have the JDM relay that makes it fold in and the switich as well.

Relay, that is what I was thinking of, so with the relay, switch and mirrors, is it fairly easy to do?

well I have the complete wiring harness from the doors of a DC5 because I want my car as close to factory as possible. there is only a couple of wires that you need to add after that.
