There is a difference in timing maps. The LS ecu runs more timing in low cam then a GSR ecu does.

May see that the GSR ECU pulls little better up top. I hope you added more fuel to the motor running on both ECUs.

Chip the LS or GSR ECU and get a h22a chip or tune it. The difference you will feel/see is big.
