Yeaterday i was out pretty much beating on on the R after the honda-tech meet going downtown. Then i ran into some problems on the way there. Right after i did a 3rd gear drop, i went to put it in 4th and the damn thing would not go in for anything. At that point i noticed that the clutch pedal did feel a bit ackward. So i pulled off onto a side road, and i turned the car off and turned it back on. I think i might have been lucky to get it back in gear wit the car on. i able to get the car home with shiftless clutch. It goes into gear fine when the car is off.
I talked to Paul (kicker773) and he told me from personal experience that is was the clutch. Shortly afterward Josh called me and told me from his personal experience it was the clutch master cylinder.
i wanna make sure i have the right problem before i buy part i might not need for my car.
any advice would be helpful.
thanks Justin

the reason why a clutch master cylinder goes bad is the seal where it meets with the clutch metal that moves it back and forth.
If you have oil, it is leaking and you need a new clutch MC.
Otherwise I feel it is your clutch. clutch mc rarely go bad.
You might also want to check your slave cylinder as well

civic did that to me on my way to school one day. it was the MC. exactly same symptoms.
if you pump it several times quickly will it go in?
check ur fluid and pull your carpet back to see if its wet?

I got an extra MC laying around somewhere. Hit me up after you bleed it tonight and let me know if it helps. Jason said he should be able to get the clutch/flywheel done this week whenever you're up for it.

sounds like your master cylinder. Integras are prone to MC leaking. You can either replace it or add fluid like every 3 months. More than likely it is not your clutch. Good luck.

I just took this pictureat 11pm
I haven't put any brake fluid in the MC and its still full, so i don't think there is a leak

there is full pressure in the clutch but it feels ackward

If you look at the fluid (top portion of the reservoir) there is still plenty of clean fluid in there to flow through the small metal lines. I've replaced my MC twice and after about a year the fluid will look like that, the seals are just that sh*tty. If you want to be 100% certain bleed the system and see if that helps. Otherwise, looks like you are going to need a new clutch soon. Doing 'gear drops' really stresses the pressure plate.

I had the same problem, car won't get into gears, and if it did, it felt really bad, car drove bad etc. problem was that a piece of metal from the clutch broke of and got between the moving parts there ( sorry for my crappy english ) i heard that many R's have this problem with the stock clutch...
i have seen topics here of my problem i had, but perhaps you have the same problem right now too...

Yeah I was going to go with that clutch but then I searched and found a lot of people not too happy with it. I ended up getting an all OE replacement setup, since I dont bash on it when I shift and the motor is staying all stock.
