Default Basic power to weight questions....lies?

I asked this in the hybrid forum, but havent got much response.....Im getting close to finishing preperations for my swap (built H22 into ?) and Im having a hard time understanding some basic things.

I hear alot that an H22 CRX is faster than a H22 eg hatch. But as I research the factory specs on these cars I see that an eg hatch in the vx or cx trim is weighing in at 2094 lbs-2108 lbs. I also see that the CRX (90-91 dx model) weighs in 2097-2103 lbs. This of course shows the weights to be nearly identical. So assumming that they are running the exact same drivetrain and tranny, why would one be any faster than the other? You'd think that they would run the same times.

I just wanna know since the latest SCC (i know they cant drive) showed the Hasport H22 crx running a 14.1 et with an lsd on street tires. This is a far cry from what many h22 rex owners claim for times. And slower than what Ive seen some H22 eg hatches run.

So whats the dilly? Can someone straighten me out so I can buy a car to swap?!?! Is there any truth to the CRX being the faster of the 2? Since swap prices are somewhat similar I want the best bang for my buck and need some help.

88-89 CRXs are lighter, and 92-95 hatches that arent VX or CX are heavier

88~91 CRX/Civic with H22A .....too much work

92~95 Civic HB with H22A.....almost drop in with mount kit

if you going to keep ALL interior I guss not much different between CRX and Civic VX/CX, but if you starting strip the car I think CRX can make a little bit lighter then EG Civic.
