need some advice...had some problems at the dealer today
My ITR has been having some problems shifting into reverse the past week. It's hard to get in or hard to get out sometimes. 5th is a problem sometimes but rarely. Well, I have 21700 miles. I took it in for warannty work. Because I have a CAI, Exhaust, Headers... they told me that it might be a problem. I proceeded to ask why. They told me because not that the parts were directly a problem but it indicated a style of driving. If they open up the tranny and see a burnt syncho or something then they immediately assume I've been hard and charge me for it. I was a little flustered at this. Can someone lend me some advice? I would not consider myself a hard driver, certainly not out of the league of what a Type-R is designed for. If this was like 1st-5th I would see where they're coming from but man I don't friggin race in reverse! Thanks!

There is no syncro for reverse. Maybe its your clutch?? Also, reverse is hard to get into on most hondas. Just let it roll a few inches and try again, usually slides right in.
The dealer is being an a hole. If you can go find another one _after_ you take off those mods. That makes it easier to get 'em to work on our cars. If you came down to ATL, TJ could probably hook you up w/ warranty w/o removing the mods.

Oh ya... they also told me because I never came in for Acura service that it looked poor as well.

Try a different dealer.
I had similar problems where the dealer told me that my steering column squeaked when I turned because my car was lowered and it was because it needed to be lubed. I went to another dealer and they did not give me hassles for anything, unless they can't figure out what is wrong.
