Default performance parts

Hey guys, I need some opinions on parts. I have a 96' GSR. First off, i'm thinking about taking my cold air AEM intake out and putting something more up to date on. But i was thinking of what brand. Does it really matter what brand it is? Like is Injen better than AEM, etc... What's the suggestion? Also I have a DC header in my teg but i was told by this mechanic that out of all headers from different brands, DC headers dont raise any horsies or torque. I dont know if its true or not and if it is, whats a good brand for headers? Last but not least i'm thinking about getting Skunk2 cams and shafts or going with OEM civic type r cams and shafts. Whats more preferred and works better? Thanks for the input!

AEM intake is really good. keep it. Maybe get a bypass valve if you dont already have 1.. but not a must
I hear nothing but good things about DC headers.. i think you need a new mechanic. lol

Upgrading your cams is deffinatly a good idea.. but as for which kind 2 get.. i couldnt tell you. I know a lot of people have the skunk2 cams though.

have heard all intakes are the same. No need for a special one.

^Same here i hear good things about DC headers, most people i know either get a Skunk2 cams or civic type R's.

Good luck.

Intakes are all the same. One brand does not differ from the next. I got my intake on my Civic for $15 dollars. Get a metal intake arm and a K&N filter and you're golden.

I would recommend a DC header those are very nice. I've also heard good things about Megan headers. Skunk2 cams are also very good, but you could keep it OEM and bump it up to ITR.
