Default SRS Light After New CD Player

Well first off I am new here and I am a computer nerd first and a car guy second my brother is the other way around but he ain't here. My car is a 95 Honda Civic EX 2Dr. Well i installed a new Pioneer Premier CD PLayer and well it had a different plug than my last 2 CD Player (Sony and JVC) so i had to rewire it well i had it working but when i put it back in the dash the cap on one of the wires fell off the power wire i believe and the exposed copper hit some metal and grounded it it blew a fuse. I didn't know this right off the bat so i took it to my local electronics store to see if my friend there could help well i noticed on my way there that SRS light was on and my Dash clock was very dim well i get there and he says i blew a fuse under my hood well we looked and sure enough it was a 7.5 amp labeled BACKUP well i go home replace it cover up the wires properly turn it back on well my Dash clock was bright again and the CD plaer was working fine but the SRS Light was still on so what happened? Please help i am very worried. Also is this a quick fix i can do my self or will my Mechanic or dealer have to fix this.

Search the archived listings for "SRS Light" and you should find the answer you are looking for. It's a series of steps you have to do using a "Paper Clip" It worked for me when I was doing wiring. I would recommend next time you are doing any sort of wiring man that you disconnect your battery and leave it for 3 minutes before doing any sort of wire work.

Well i sent an e-mail to my "local" Dealer (45 minute drive) i have a shorter 20-30 minute drive to my Honda Specialist Mechanic but he hates dealing with airbags he' the guy that changes the oil and fixes all the other crap i screw up but i think i will give him a break and let the Darrel Waltrip team take a crack at (yeah Darrell Owns a Honda/Volvo Dealership) idon't want to do anything cause more than likely i will blow something up or something if it were a PC heck i wouldn't have any probs I built the computer i am using but my Bro did all the work to my car cause it usd to be his (mostly APC) while i am on the topic of lights on the dash my bro installed custom gauge faces that light up blue (pretty...but useless) and the speedometer will work 75% of the time (because it is warm in the winter not the same situation) sometimes it will bounce up to 80 or so when i am sitting still sometimes i whack the dash real good and it comes back well my mechanic tells me it is either the screws were put back in to loose too tight or so tight that the circuit board board crakced well he tells me i am gonna need a new cluster if it is cracked and being the tech nerd i am i know if it is cracked soldering should fix it cause there is a guy that makes portable game consoles and cuts their circuit boards to rearrange them more compactly and solders all the broken connections back together well i couldn't tell you what exactly it is but what do ya'll think it is and also the Odometer and trip odometer go out with the speedometer too
