Mugen R vs Supercharged s2000
I know this has been beaten to hell, but my friend (that owns a supercharged s2000) tells me the R would lose.
What do you guys think?
Full Mugen Integra Type R
VS.
Supercharged s2000 with:
strut tower brace and springs and tie bars
SC with exhaust
SAME TIRES, SAME DRIVER
thanx guys,
Jordo

Well, with the strut tower brace, springs and tie bars, I would say the S2000 has an unfair advantage. Maybe if the R had better tires...
I think you know what would win.

COME ON PEOPLE!!! How many parts does Mugen make for the Type R that actually increases power? There are very few items and power increase is relatively small for each of them.

in stock trim the ITR would lose by .25 of a car to a stock S2000 I have seen it on video but depending on driver it could swing both ways.

Well in Car and Driver's test the Mugen ITR with: Mugen-limited slip, engine comp, cat-back exhaust, header, clutch, valve springs, engine mounts, lightweight flywheel, high-compression head gastket, low-temp thermostat, and high pressure radiator cap posted a 6.6 0-60 and a 15.2 1/4. The car produced 220hp, so from that I would deduce that the s2k would win. Just for an example of the power of a supercharged s2k here is a vid of a moddified s4 racing one. http://66.66.68.50/S4_vs_SCS2K.mpg

Stock, my car timed at 14.5 in the 1/4, so it proved one more time that Car and Driver, like similar mags, are bull poo poo.
(Unless the editor's grand ma was driving the Mugen R...)
