heater/ac only works on settings 3 and 4

exactly. there is are step resistors which limit the amount of current is sent to the blower depending on what setting it is on. if you can get the climate control out of a civic at the salvage yard for a good price, it would probably be the easiest and quickest way.

ok so i was wrong. so used to working on chevy's here at school. its located on the blower motor itself.
