throwing code 23
today was the first time i have actually driven my car since getting it. i got it about 6 months ago! it has a jdm b16a sir1 swap. when i pulled out of my driveway and got about half a block down the street my car threw a cel w/ code 23 showing. i know code 23 is knock sensor. from what i have read some people throw the knock sensor code just from too much vibration under the hood. my car is really loud and it feels like it does have a lot of vibration. i'm thinking it's because my dumb exhaust set up. when the engine was put in the downpipe of the stock header was chopped and a regular exhaust pipe was welded to it.. so basically from half of the downpipe all the way back is just one piece of the exhaust. i was thinking this crappy exhaust set up might be causing the vibration, but i have never thrown a code 23 so i'm open to what you guys have to say.
i really doubt my engine is knocking because it's just been put in and i have never started it or driven it really.

well i can tell you that my crx with a professionally-installed b16a (i bought the car from the guy who paid the shop to do the swap) did NOT have the knock sensor wired to the ECU. stock USDM d-series EF's did not have knock sensors (correct me if i am wrong), so if the installer didn't custom wire the knock sensor to the ECU, then the ECU will throw code 23. or it may have come unplugged or something, if the wiring is present, or worst case the sensor could be bad.
edit: the code 23 doesn't mean that your engine is knocking or pinging. it means that the ECU is not getting a signal from the knock sensor.
