Another common CRX problem is the clutch pedal bracket busting...This is a design flaw, keep your cable in good repair and you shouldnt have to worry about this though. Ive been through my original and 2 new ones.

Maybe your problem is not the clutch... How is the condition of your flywheel? Maybe it needs a resurfacing.

flywheel was resurfaced, tryed a 6 puck off e-bay which worked for 3 months then started slipping, then i resurfaced the flywheel and put a new clutchmasters stage 3 segmented kevlar and it slips on first try after cruising it for 50 miles to settle it in.

what are some problems the throwout bearing can cause other than noise

You know there is an adjuster there in the engine compartment that you can tighten or loosen you clutch cable right?

Design flaw, says who ? I have not seen a stock Honda's clutch bracket break. I just replaced a pedal assemble because the pedal broke. He had an act clutch setup, but the cable actually twisted around and around, making it harder and harder to engage the clutch. And after awhile the pedal broke.

i have an act flywheel and centerforce clutch and pressure plate and its never been able to spin the tires into second gear but it held boost really well, but a few days ago it started slipping under heavy load, but some clutch cable adjustment fixed the problem (loostened the nut) and it seems to hold now, although it still doesnt bite when i shift to second.

I've loosened it to the point where the gears don't want to go in , and no dice
