>1mm overbore, piston slaps, need help plz!!!!!! EMERGENCY!!!
Ok guys, this is an emergency...
I took my block to a reputable machine shop to get it bored over for my wiseco 8.5:1 forged pistons...
so my friend calls to tell me that he put the pistons in the block and everything is fine except cylinder 4...
It turns out there's LESS THAN 1mm overbore on cylinder 4, which is causing the piston to slap the cylinder wall when you crank it up and down...
this is only happening in cylinder 4, and all the other ones are fine...
He checked , and it's perfectly round, and the piston is perfectly round too... no distortion...
We even dropped off the pistons and rods with the block so they could bore it accordingly...
He says there is a chance if I went ahead and put it in my car like this, something could go wrong...
but he then said that once the engine warms up, the piston/ block will expand and possibly eliminate the piston slapping...
I'm going ot be running a turbo kit 8-10psi .... so I need any opinions anyone can provide...
This is a 1995 Acura Integra GS-R...
Should I go ahead with this minor problem? or take it back to the machine shop? will they replace my block because of this slight error?
