Default b series alternator

im gonna pick up myself an alternator for my car. (1996 Honda Civic DX B16a1 Hatch)

jus wonderin if all b series alternators were interchangeable??
like can i put a gsr alternator into my car??

well, im gonna go to a alternator shop that rebuilds alternators and stuff...is it good or bad gettin my alternator rebuilt or should i just buy a new one??

As long as the OBD is the same, youre set.
I have an obd1 alt for $40+ship (tested and works)

how do i know what OBD it is??

I got a J Spec - B16a1 p73 type r ecu in a 96 honda civic hatch

What wiring harness are you using? The one off the car, modded?
The engine's year is on the head - exhaust side. It will say 9|# and then some other numbers The year will be the factor for determining obd.
Its probably 0 if its an a1 (since there really isnt an a1, technically)

Im guessing you didnt do this swap/yourself.

The alternator will be good as long as it fits your cars wiring OBD1/2 etc.

That comp isn't doign you that much good btw.....alternator with teh same OBD will do yah......as previously mentioned.
