Default Would this work to replace radio antenna?

Has anyone tried running an antenna wire from the radio up over the headliner or along the rear window to replace the original one mounted outside (mine's non-telescopic)? Do you think it would work?

I assume you could get a long wire antenna from anywhere and run it whereever you want. I'm just worried about the amount of interference.
