leaking onto the spark plugs
i finally checked my spark plugs to see if the head gaskets were leaking and not to my suprise the spark plugs were drenched in oil...i just pulled out the spark plugs and lots of oil are on them...cylinder head 3 and 2 are full of that junk...and have carbon deposits on 4 and 1...would i be able to change the head gasket on my own...DIY or would be cheaper just to get a new engine swapped in since the engine is already at 178k???need some feedback on where i should head with this problem...just want to swap in a d16 motor so it can run with no problems...thanks in advance
**let me clarify since i really didnt say where the oil was...it was all over the electrode and the spark plug itself**
How much oil is it consuming? If the oil is getting into the combustion chamber it should be burning off and the car probably would be smoking a bit under accleration.
yea it burns hella oil cause i change liek every month... when i bought it nothing was really wrong...but lately kaboom...its a bucket...yea and its smoke out white from the exhaust...

doesnt sound like a HG problem to me...it sounds like ur piston rings...u get white smoke with bad valve seals as well but its not to the point that ur spark plugs are drenched with oil...do a leak down test to find out exactly where ur losing pressure from..
