ITR vs. GSR master cylinder and brake booster

Default ITR vs. GSR master cylinder and brake booster

I know there have been a million posts about this already. I have read all of them. Does anyone know definatively if there is any real performance advantage to running the ITR over the GSR?

My EG will be a dedicated autox/HPDE car. I will need to stop very hard, very fast over and over. It's ok if i have to bend and reflare some lines.

Also my car is non-ABS. Does this have any effect on using an ABS 1" MS?

MC/BB from an ABS car is the same as a non ABS car. It matters at the PV and on.

I think all integra's that have the 1 inch MC use the same, because i got a LS 1'' MC and it looks exactly like my friends ITR 1''

non-ABS uses 15/16" MC and ABS uses a 1" MC. The brake boosters have different part numbers so they most likely are not interchangeable.

Anyone else have anything to add?

Is there any performance advantage to an ITR booster and master cylinder over a GSR system?

Itr is much better, I have done this swap in an eg.

The booster is bigger and the master is different, it gives you more mechanical advantage.

It fit's 100 %.

All you have to do is cut and reflare one of the lines cause it's on the opposite side and has to be relocated, I know this had to be done when going from a gsr/sir to a type r master booster setup.

i just picked up a supposedly IT-R (definitely 1") MC w/BB for m EH3 (EG). tha connections for tha lines on tha MC are fortunately on tha same side as my orginal stainless steel lines. however, tha connection closer to tha BB has a larger opening than tha orginal 3/16 brass fitting.

what did you guys do for that conversion? i can't find a reducer in metric or that brass fitting in metric anywhere anywhere. my only chance of findin' it is if i were to go to a junk/salvage yard, which tha closer one is 2 hours away. unless, you guys can suggest somethin' else for me.

ITR is always better hands down in any situation, you cant get anything better from the factory then itr stuff so id say go with that, but a gsr would be just as good for you needs. i had a vx with gsr complete swap and did a bunch of auto x's and lots of track events. the braks were awsome!

one of tha two hard lines in my hatch won't screw into tha MC because it's too small. what did you guys do for this?

so, i guess none of you guys ran into this problem? i can't find a frikkin' reducer anywhere, especially for metric. this is a pain in tha azz.

as far as tha MC's go and what's visually obvious, aren't tha reservoirs different? tha IT-Rs hold more.
