Default The best Upgrade i've done in awhile lol!!!

So my car's been a strong car..always never gave out and what not..
Well, one day in traffic i'm idling and the car dies... For no reasons, i keep thinking its bad gas or water in my gas..it wasn't..as you'll see..
So i try to crank it up and the unthinkable happens.. its that sound that just makes your nuts hide in your rib cage..

As i go to start my car .. the loudest boom i've ever heard happens.. And smoke is everywhere... needless to say i push my car and start checking the usually.. No leaks.. nothing.. Headgasket, oil fuel igition.. all fine.. i keep thinking i just blew something up.. i didn't..

So a buddy of mine says .. something that jogs my mind.. i quickly rip his dizzy off his integra and throw it on mine and my baby comes to life.. idles fine and evertyhing.. Next day i go to advance auto parts and order this Performance dizzy.. off a B18c3..ya it was kick ***..my buddy lately has been creaming me hard.. he has a 1995 gsr, sleeved to a 1.9, with i/h/e and some other goodies and he'd put about a car on me.. a few times.. raced the night after i changed my dizzy and i pulled ..1..2 cars on him.. hard.. and kept pulling.. thought i'd share it lol..

Didn't really think a dizzy could make that big of a difference on performance.. guess i was wrong you learn something new everyday.

maybe you pulled so hard on him was because when you put the dizzy on... it was probably slighty advanced.

Exactly...

Just replacing your dizzy with a new one will not net any performance gains. But, if you put it on and didn't set the timing back to stock you could have advanced it slightly.

Its out there, but no one can really put their finger on what it is. Its kind of like where did the DC1 and DC3 Integra go?

Not really.. I kindof have my timing on the head marked.. as for slapping the dizzy on there its kindof too advanced.. my valves tap when my car is cold and they stop when its warming up... they dont tap non stop but like 3-5 they top.. anything below or above those rpms they dont tap.. i just thought i'd share no need to flame.. Just wanted to point out that its the simple things that make the most difference most of the time..
